Floral woodburnings that look so alive and natural you can almost smell them!

I have always been a nature lover, and especially love the fragrance and beauty of flowers.  Moving back to the Pacific Northwest has provided me with a wonderful opportunity to not only create lovely gardens in the yard with wonderful fragrances, but also to find wonderful flowers to photograph and use as reference for burnings and drawings. 

All of my floral pieces are done from her own garden or photos I or Alan have taken along the way!

Now living in New Mexico I have started my new garden.  I am growing a variety of roses, iris and gourds.  I should have lots of new material for burning!

"Hummingbird 'n Bloom"

This is a colorized version of a burning I did several years ago.  I made many changes to the original design and added just a hint-a color. I used a photo of one of the hummingbirds from our backyard bird sanctuary. Gosh those birds are fast!  Our neighbors have a vine hanging over their fence that was just gorgeous...now we have several just like it to attract more birds and gosh do we now have birds...they are eating us out of house and home but between the flowers (roses, Rose of Sharon, trumpet vine, etc) I should have plenty of material for new burnings.
